Takasago, Amyris to commercialize farnesene-derived fragrance molecules

Takasago (Tokyo), specialized in the creation of flavors and fragrances for consumer products, and Amyris (Emeryville, CA) will start commercializing farnesene-derived fragrance molecules as part of their ongoing partnership, the companies announced today. Takasago, after completing feasibility testing, has agreed to move forward with commercialization, starting with a first purchase for scale-up this quarter, the company says.
