BCC Research (Wellesley, MA), a market research group, has predicted that the global biologic drugs market will increase at a combined annual growth rate of 9.9% to $239 billion in 2015, up from $149 billion in 2010. The global market for biologics can be broken down by product type into three segments; therapeutic proteins; monoclonal antibodies; and vaccines.
