EnviroTech :: Innovation Solar Firm Raises $20 Million in Funding Round11:11 AM MDT | October 22, 2010 | Vincent Valk Solar firm 1366 Technologies has raised $20 million in a Series B funding round, including an investment from Hanwha Chemical (Seoul). The other investors in the round were Ventizz Capital Fund, and existing investors North Bridge Venture Partners and Polaris Venture Partners. The new funding will allow the company to take its "direct wafer" solar technology to production earlier than anticipated. "Direct wafer" is a manufacturing process that integrates the supply chain of silicon photovoltaics, leading to a simpler, more efficient process...
