Poet-DSM Advanced Biofuels appoints general manager

Poet-DSM Advanced Biofuels (Sioux Falls, SD), a 50-50 joint venture between Poet (Sioux Falls, SD) and Royal DSM (Delft, the Netherlands) has appointed Steve Hartig, as general manager responsible for licensing of the jv’s integrated technology packages. He is currently v.p. bio-energy at DSM’s bio-based products & services unit, Poet-DSM announced. Construction is underway in Emmetsburg, IA on Poet-DSM’s first commercial-scale cellulosic bio-ethanol facility, which will initially produce 20 million gals/year of biofuel per year ramping up...
