Novozymes to provide enzyme technology to M&G Chemicals for world's first biomass-to-glycols plant, in China

Novozymes (Bagsvaerd, Denmark) and M&G Chemicals (Luxembourg) have signed a collaboration agreement to produce biomass-based plastics in China, the two companies announced today. Novozymes will supply enzyme technology to what will be the world’s first biomass-to-glycols biorefinery, which will be constructed by M&G Chemicals. The biorefinery will be located near to Fuyang, Anhui Province, China, and will have capacity to process 1 million m.t./year of biomass, approximately four times the capacity of Beta Renewables' biomass-conversion...
