EnviroTech :: Innovation Novozymes to Supply Enzymes for Trash-to-Fuels Project12:35 PM MST | January 25, 2012 | Rebecca Coons Novozymes says it will supply enzymes to cleantech start-up Fiberight (Catonsville, MD) for a $59.5 million retrofit of a Blairstown, IA corn ethanol production unit to Fiberight’s trash-to-fuels technology. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is providing a $25 million loan for the 6 million gallons/year facility, and Fiberight is investing $20 million. The unit is expected to be fully operational in the first half of 2013 and will deploy Fiberight’s cellulosic microbial process to convert municipal solid waste and other industrial pulps...
