EnviroTech :: Innovation Honeywell Researcher to Receive SCI's Moore Medal for Catalyst Research3:20 PM MDT | June 1, 2012 | Lindsay Frost The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI), America Section, will award Dean Rende, a senior manager with Honeywell UOP, the SCI Gordon E. Moore medal for his work on discovery, scale-up, and commercialization of novel catalysts used in the production of biodegradable detergents and petrochemical monomers. Rende has commercialized two industrial catalysts for commercial oxidation and alkane dehydrogenation where over three million tons are produced each year.
