Consortium secures €7.5 million for waste-to-biobased plastics R&D

SynPol1, a consortium of 8 academic and 6 industrial institutions, has secured almost €7.5 million ($9.8 million) in funding under the EU Seventh Framework Programme to explore the conversion of different complex waste streams to valuable products such as biobased plastics, the Biological Research Centre (CIB; Madrid) has announced.
