Chemtura's Great Lakes Solutions Initiates Production of New Flame Retardant

Great Lakes Solutions, the flame retardants and brominated products business of Chemtura, says it has initiated commercial production of Emerald 1000, a new flame retardant, at its manufacturing facility at El Dorado, AR. Emerald 1000 is one of four new flame retardant products under the Emerald brand and a part of Great Lakes Solutions' greener innovation strategy. Emerald 1000 is a replacement for decabromodiphenyl oxide and decabromodiphenyl ethane, which are used in a wide variety of applications such as consumer electronics, automotive, textile back coating...
