EnviroTech :: Innovation Bayer Holds R&D Spend in 2011, Seeks Greater Efficiencies5:06 AM MST | December 9, 2010 | Alex Scott in Leverkusen Bayer will flatten its R&D spend for 2011 at this year’s level of €1.3 billion ($ 1.7 billion), says Marijn Dekkers, Bayer chairman. Dekkers made the announcement yesterday at the firm’s annual innovation forum held at Leverkusen. The levelling off of R&D spending follows a 13% annual rise in 2010, compared with that of the year earlier. Dekkers, who took up the leadership role at the company on October 1, says in 2011 the group will be more efficient in the way that it spends the €1.3 billion, and that there will be greater emphasis...
