Bayer Focuses on Innovation; Impacted by Rising Costs

Bayer MaterialScience (BMS) says its future strategy will focus on innovation, growth, and efficiency. The company unveiled the plans last week at a journalists’ briefing in Düsseldorf devoted to the K-2007 plastics exhibition, which will take place next October, also in Düsseldorf. BMS will showcase marketable products as well as innovations that are in the pipeline, says Patrick Thomas, CEO. The company, which generated sales of €10.2 billion ($13.8 billion) last year, has leading market positions in polyurethanes, polycarbonate (PC)...
