BASF creates Asia/Pacific innovation hub, consolidates Greater China HQ at Pudong

BASF today inaugurated its first innovation campus in Asia/Pacific and its new Greater China headquarters at the company’s Pudong site, in Shanghai. The €55-million ($71.4 million) expansion of BASF’s site at Pudong marks its most important innovation investment in the region to date, the company says. The facility will be one of BASF’s largest such facilities outside Germany, and it will ultimately employ more than 2,500 people.
