BASF Takes EU to Court Over GM Potato

BASF says it has initiated legal proceedings against the European Commission for the commission’s “failure to act” to approve BASF’s Amflora genetically modified potato. Approval for the use of Amflora across the European Union (EU) has not been granted despite positive safety assessments and a 12-year approval process, BASF says.
