BASF Reorients R&D, Predicts 2012 Spending of $2.3 Billion

BASF says is reorienting its R&D activities so that they are more aligned to the group's key growth markets and so that R&D is undertaken more efficiently across the group. The reorientation will involve the company growing its R&D presence globally, devoting greater efforts to sustainability issues, and expanding its product and technology portfolio.
