EnviroTech :: Environment Update: EPA Advances Greenhouse Gas Endangerment Finding9:10 AM MDT | March 25, 2009 | Kara Sissell EPA has sent the controversial greenhouse gas “endangerment finding” to the White House, the first step the agency must take if it wants to regulate greenhouse gases using existing Clean Air Act authority. The Supreme Court’s 2007 Massachusetts v. EPA ruling found that EPA could regulate GHGs using the Clean Air Act if it determines that GHGs pose a danger to public health and the environment. The Bush administration never completed the finding, which reportedly made it as far as the White House Office of Management and Budget. Industry groups...
