US lawmaker seeks changes to EPA science board

Representative Ralph Hall (R., TX) has introduced legislation aimed at changing how experts are selected for US EPA’s science advisory panels. The bill would improve transparency, increase oversight of Science Advisory Board (SAB) selection, and limit the potential for conflicts of interest, proponents say.
