EnviroTech :: Environment U.S. Senate Rejects Natural Gas Amendment9:28 AM MDT | March 14, 2012 | Kara Sissell The U.S. Senate has rejected an amendment that would have subsidized natural gas vehicles, a measure industry groups had opposed. The Senate vote, 51-47, fell short of the 60 votes needed to push it through as part of a transportation funding bill. The Senate also rejected other energy related amendments, including one that would have extended funding for programs designed to promote wind and other alternative sources of energy.
