U.S. Lawmakers Approve 17% Cut in FY2013 EPA Funding

The U.S. House of Representatives appropriations committee has approved a fiscal year 2013 funding bill that includes cutting EPA funding about $1.3 billion, or 17%, including an amendment that would prevent EPA from requiring greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions from power plants.
