U.S. EPA Proposes Air Rule for Fracking Operations12:45 PM MDT | August 1, 2011 | Kara Sissell U.S. EPA has proposed rules that would require drillers using new or modified hydraulic fracturing wells to install technology to separate and capture natural gas emissions that otherwise would be released into the air. The proposal is in response to a court-order resulting from a lawsuit filed by environmental groups. A final rule is slated for release next February.
