U.S. EPA Issues Final Dioxin Assessment

EPA has issued its assessment of dioxin’s noncancer health effects, part of an effort that has been in progress for more than 20 years and represents one of industry’s longest running and most contentious disputes with regulators. The cancer portion of the assessment, also part of EPA's efforts under the Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS), is due out at a later, unspecified date.
