EnviroTech :: Environment U.S. Court Dismisses Organic Growers' Suit Against Monsanto9:23 AM MST | February 28, 2012 | Kara Sissell The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York has dismissed a lawsuit filed by organic growers seeking protection from potential patent infringement lawsuits by Monsanto in the event that transgenic plants are found in organic farmers’ crops. The plaintiffs cite cases where Monsanto has sued growers who have allegedly used Monsanto’s genetically modified seeds without paying royalties. Judge Noami Buchwald dismissed the suit saying there is no evidence of infringement by the plaintiffs and no evidence that it may occur. Buchwald also...
