Threat to Flamingos Halts Soda Ash Plan

Tata Chemical’s (Mumbai) previously announced 500,000-m.t./year natural soda ash project at Lake Natron, Tanzania “as originally envisaged” has been suspended because of risks to the environment, says Homi Khusrokhan, managing director at Tata Chemicals.
