SIRC Asks Court for Summary Judgment in RoC Lawsuit

The Styrene Information and Research Center (SIRC) says it has filed a motion asking a court to grant summary judgment in support of the council’s lawsuit challenging the 12th Report on Carcinogen’s (RoC) listing of styrene as “reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen.” SIRC filed suit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS; Washington) when the RoC was published in June 2011, saying the RoC’s listing for styrene is “unsupported by the science and the result of a seriously flawed process.”...
