Researchers fail to duplicate study linking BPA to obesity, diabetes

University of Missouri (MU) researchers say they have been unable to reproduce the results of a previous study that had linked exposure to bisphenol A (BPA) to increased rates of obesity and type 2 diabetes. The researchers, led by Cheryl Rosenfeld, associate professor of biomedical sciences at MU’s Bond Life Sciences Center, say the study does not make any determination about the positive or negative aspects of BPA.
