EnviroTech :: Environment Officials: French Findings Do Not Alter EFSA's 2010 BPA Assessment11:08 AM MST | December 1, 2011 | Kara Sissell The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) says recent findings by the French food safety authority Anses does not change EFSA’s 2010 assessment of bisphenol A (BPA), saying Anses work “was limited to hazard identification while EFSA has carried out a full risk assessment of BPA. The (TDI) of 0.05 mg/kg body weight that EFSA set protects “all human populations for lifetime exposure to this substance through the diet.” EFSA;s affirmation of its BPA assessment follows a request by the European Commission which sought clarification...
