India Reaches Deal to Dispose of Bhopal Hazardous Waste in Germany12:38 PM MDT | June 18, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh The Indian government plans to dispose about 350 m.t. of hazardous waste from the Union Carbide plant at Bhopal, in the state of Madhya Pradesh India, in Germany. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ; Bonn, Germany) says that GIZ will dispose the 350 m.t. of soil contaminated with pesticides and heavy metals.
