House Bill Would Suspend Clean Air Proposals, Require Cost Considerations

The U.S. House of Representatives has voted 244-173 to pass the Domestic Energy and Jobs Act, which in part would change the criteria for EPA’s review of national clean air standards by requiring the agency to include cost considerations in its review process. The Clean Air Act currently requires EPA look only at public health protections when review federal air quality standards.
