German Court Rejects Monsanto Petition on GM Corn

A German court has rejected an urgent petition filed by Monsanto that sought to overturn a ban imposed by German officials in mid April stopping the cultivation and commercial sale of genetically modified (GM) corn, sold as MON 810. The company’s emergency petition was intended to allow for the corn to be used during the 2009 planting season.
