EnviroTech :: Environment Genencor and Huntsman to Develop Bio-based Textiles10:44 AM MDT | September 23, 2008 | Alex Scott Just one week after signing a major deal to co-develop bio-based isoprene with Goodyear, Genencor has announced that it has signed an agreement with Huntsman to co-develop bio-based textiles. Genencor will work with Huntsman’s global Textile Effects business, a producer of dyes and chemicals for the textiles sector. Genencor will bring to the collaboration its expertise in bio-based materials, including enzyme based fermentation processes. Financial terms were not disclosed.
