EnviroTech :: Environment FDA Posts BPA Documents for Comment, Includes Unpublished Study Commissioned by ACC10:19 AM MDT | April 5, 2010 | Kara Sissell FDA today announced availability of five research documents on the health effects of bisphenol A (BPA), part of its ongoing efforts to clear up questions about the safety of BPA in certain food products and packaging. FDA is working with officials from the NIH’s National Toxicology Program to carry out “in-depth studies to answer key questions and clarify uncertainties about the risks of BPA.” In the interim, it is taking steps to reduce human exposure to BPA, supporting a shift to a more robust regulatory framework for oversight of BPA, and...
