European Environment Agency has new executive director

Hans Bruyninckx has taken office as executive director at the European Environment Agency (EEA; Copenhagen).  "Environment issues are increasingly complex, interconnected, and global, so the EEA needs to work to stay ahead and continue to provide effective information to policy makers. A healthy environment is essential for the security, health, and prosperity of European citizens," he says. Bruyninckx worked previously at Leuven University (Leuven, Belgium) as general director of the HIVA Research Institute, which specializes in policy research...
