EU Directive Takes Aim at Counterfeit Medicines

Its been a good few days for the producers of legal active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and excipients, with the European Union’s (EU) Council members formally adopting a Directive on Falsified Medicines. Meanwhile, Chinese authorities report that they have arrested 263 individuals for suspected involvement in the production or sale of counterfeit medicines.
