EPA's Plans for Fracking Study Go to SAB for Review

EPA has submitted plans for studying the impacts of hydraulic fracturing on drinking water supplies to its Science Advisory Board (SAB) for review. The plans are open for public comment during the SAB review, which is scheduled for March 7-10, EPA says.  Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, has helped expand U.S. natural gas supplies and help give chemical producers based there a competitive advantage, experts say.
