EPA Revises Annual Standard for Soot to 12-13 Mg/Cu Meter

EPA says its proposed rule for particle pollution, or soot, would revise the annual standard for fine particles (PM-2.5) from 15 micrograms per cubic meter (mg/cu meter) to 12-13 micrograms mg/cu meter. EPA’s science advisory experts had recommended an annual standard for fine particulates of 11-13 mg/cu meter.
