EnviroTech :: Environment EPA Proposes GHG Inventory Rule10:14 AM MDT | March 13, 2009 | Kara Sissell EPA has proposed a national system for reporting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, which would require large industrial facilities and other sources to begin annual reporting of emissions in 2010. The rule covers facilities that emit more than 25,000 m.t./year of GHG, and EPA says the vast majority of small businesses would not have to report emissions because they fall well under that threshold. The cost to the private sector would be about $160 million in the first year, and about $127 million in subsequent years, EPA says. Industry groups say they will review...
