DuPont Sues Monsanto for Alleged Infringement on Seed Production Technique

DuPont says it has filed suit against Monsanto, alleging Monsanto infringed on DuPont's patent-protected seed production technique that “increases seed corn vigor to improve germination under stress.” According to the complaint, the patent specifically covers defoliation at a particular stage in development—after pollination but before harvest.
