Chinese premier Wen Jiabao has called for intensified efforts to reduce emissions and save energy over the next five years to tackle climate change and to promote sustainable development, the Chinese government says. Wen made the announcement last month in Beijing at a meeting about coping with climate change and promoting energy saving and emission reductions.
