China Bans BPA in Baby Bottles

The Chinese government say its Ministry of Health in China and five other government bodies have decided to ban the use of polycarbonate containing bisphenol A (BPA) in baby feeding bottles from June 1, 2011. Imports and sale of feeding bottles containing BPA will also be banned starting September 1, 2011, the government says. The public health notice has asked local food security inspectors to be vigilant against any violation of the ban....
