Canada's Triclosan Risk Assessment Slated for Release March 31

Canadian public health officials are preparing to release a preliminary risk assessment for the antimicrobial triclosan, and the findings could have widespread commercial implications for soaps, detergents and other antibacterial products. Local press reports say the assessment terms triclosan as "toxic to the environment" but officials do not have enough information to find it hazardous to human health.
