Appeals Court Affirms Dismissal of PFOA Claims1:40 PM MDT | April 25, 2011 | Kara Sissell A federal appeals court has upheld a ruling that rejected large parts of a lawsuit filed against DuPont by residents of Parkersburg, WV. The lawsuit alleged perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) from DuPont’s Parkersburg fluorochemicals operations warranted a class action against the company and that PFOA-contaminated water results in constituted negligence, nuisance, and trespass.
