ACC: Senate Energy Bill Lacks Incentives for Efficiency Improvements

ACC says it has concerns about the Senate Clean Energy Standard Act recently introduced “most notably” due to its lack of incentives for reduced energy demand, says ACC president and CEO Cal Dooley. “Reduced energy demand is the cleanest energy, yet efficiency improvements at electric utilities or manufacturing facilities do not earn credits toward compliance.” Lawmakers on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee recently heard testimony on the bill.
