EnviroTech :: Environment Industry study tallies costs of six new EPA rules9:26 AM MST | December 4, 2012 | Kara Sissell The US National Association of Manufacturers (NAM; Washington) in a recent study says major rules US EPA issued in 2010 and 2011 will cost industry hundreds of billions of dollars and would produce “negative net benefits for society.” The study, compiled for NAM by NPD Consulting, says many scientists and economists have concluded that “some of EPA’s proposed standards would be impossible to meet with current technology and that most of the estimated health and economic benefits are highly uncertain if not illusory.”...
