Disclosure initiatives drive reformulation in personal care sector

Ingredient disclosure initiatives, including the California Safe Cosmetics Act of 2005, are helping to drive reformulation in the personal care and cosmetics chemicals markets. The Safe Cosmetics Act created a public database that links specific chemicals with certain types of toxicity, including known carcinogens and contributors to reproductive or developmental disorders.
