U.S. Lawmakers to Examine Progress Made on CFATS

A U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce panel will hold a hearing September 11 to assess progress on the Chemical Facilities Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS), which require certain chemical facilities to compile plans aimed at reducing the risks associated with potential terror attacks involving chemical facilities.
