World Agrees Roadmap for Curbing Greenhouse Gas Emissions, China and U.S. Join In

No one gave it a cat’s chance in hell of succeeding, but COP 17, the United Nations climate change summit held in Durban, South Africa at its close yesterday delivered a partial breakthrough by securing a legally binding requirement for countries by 2015 to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets.
