The United Nations Panel on Climate Change (UNPCC) has begun an investigation into allegations that leading climatologists at the Climate Research Institute (CRI; University of East Anglia, Norwich, U.K.) suppressed or manipulated data that might challenge scientific findings relating to anthropogenic climate change. The investigation follows the recent publication of emails sent between researchers at CRI which were leaked to internet discussion sites run by climate skeptics.
