Report: Climate Change Mitigation Should Be Priority for U.S.

Halting and reversing the effects of climate change should be a national priority, says a report by the Committee on America's Climate Choices, a panel convened by the U.S. National Research Council (Washington) at the request of Congress. "The environmental, economic, and humanitarian risks of climate change indicate a pressing need for substantial action to limit the magnitude of climate change and prepare to adapt to its impacts," the report says.
