Mitsui Chemicals and Scientex Form Solar Cell Encapsulants Production Joint Venture

Mitsui Chemicals Tohcello (MCTI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui Chemicals, and Scientex Berhad (Kuala Lumpur) have agreed to form a joint venture to build a plant in Malaysia to manufacture Solar EVA solar cell encapsulants. The product, a sheet made of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, is used to attach a cell and glass or a backsheet in solar panels.
