EnviroTech :: Climate Change Huntsman Saves Millions of Dollars with Energy Efficiency Overhaul at Port Neches, TX3:46 AM MDT | April 23, 2010 | Alex Scott Huntsman says it has significantly reduced its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by introducing a series of energy management systems during the past two years at its Port Neches, TX chemicals complex. The energy management program was undertaken in partnership with AspenTech, which provided modelling, process analyses and project definition. Huntsman says process changes have resulted in annual savings in excess of $3 million/year with capital improvement projects yielding potential yearly benefits in excess of $13 million.
