Steps were taken this week toward enhancing the safety of nanomaterials: The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC; Brussels) yesterday officially opened the first repository of reference nanomaterials. The center is designed to facilitate the safety assessment of nanomaterials and so ensure consumer protection.   DSM, Zeon and Novomer each won profiles in sustainability awards at Informex's gala dinner in Charlotte, NC.
